Full Throttle represents Coca Cola's stab at the energy drink market.
The beverage is clearly marketed as a "tough-guy" drink, with its
logo appearing like some kind of biker tatoo.
Full Throttle's color is almost identical to Coke's Mello Yello.
Not surprisingly, there are similarities in taste as well.
The flavor is more like a soda than many of the other energy
drinks on the market. Full throttle reminds me of Mello Yello
with some sweet cherry mixed in to steer the flavor toward the
"fruity" taste many other energy drinks have.
This drink provides a solid boost of energy with its high
caffeine and sugar. However, I did notice there is no caffeine warning on the can,
making me wonder if it has as much as drinks such as "Bawls" or
Sobe's "No Fear." "Full Throttle" also contains 1210mg Taurine,
180mg Ginseng extract, 30mg Carnitine, and 1.40mg Guarana extract.
You'll look macho drinking it and you'll feel macho when you're
finished with it. In addition, the oversized 16 Oz. can gives a
plesantly longer consumption time than some of the smaller drinks.
"Full Throttle" is a solid entry to the crowded energy drink market.
